Degenkolb
It's got to be the mustache. Still popular in Italy. Taco's sprinter is starting to pay dividends with a stage 5 win. |
It's been an action packed Giro so far. The top 5 favorites are all still close together and should remain so until the first individual time trial this weekend. Wiggo has been attacked numerous times, but was only gapped on a messy crash filled finish. However, Nibbles and Hesjedal have made up for any time lost in the TTT already. One of the highlights so far has been the attacks on the descents as well as the sprint efforts by GC contenders for precious bonus seconds. Loving the race so far and would love to hear your opinion on it.
Also, this happened
Thanks for your colorful commentary on an event I am unable to view, at least not from the comfort of my sofa. I agree that the mustache probably helped Degenkolb and that the Italians seem to be stuck in the 80's(you said that right). Anyways as someone who knows very little about this sport I appreciate your humorous approach to keeping us abreast of what is going down in the world of bicycling! Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteBenat and Vincenzo in the lead after today's rain. Wiggins has been working on his climbing but it has been his descending skills that is killing his Giro.
ReplyDeleteCouple of notes:
1. Cav's wife/girlfriend is hot. Google Peta Todd. Don't do it at work.
2. Wiggins does not like descending in rain.
3. Ryder is super consistent.
4. Inxausti is bomb. No way he can keep this up, right?
5. Italians are winning stages. Renaissance of Italian Cycling?
My podium for Saturday's ITT
1. Phinney
2. Nibali
3. Boaro
Wiggins has mechanical and has trouble with the bike handling on a very technical course.
Forza!
