New season, new point system, new members? Well, we'll see. Time to break out the old big board. STP Greenline, you're on the clock.
Gegario Forza has reserved us a snug at The Local for our 5th annual Wiskota Team draft. The long and storied career of celebrity DS Taco has come to a close as he has lost his main sponsor, Twisted Tea Old Fashioneds. In addition, the promising career of Dan the Neo Pro was cut short when he realized he was in way over his head. "What the hell did I get into" Dan was heard to mutter half way through his first draft. Its looking like we will have at least one new member. The Wiskota family is happy to welcome Bob MacNutt to the squad. You will henceforth be referred to as Bob the Neo Pro until you prove otherwise. We've got a tweet invitation out to Greg Lemond but this might not be the year.
As mentioned earlier, the point system has changed for this year, you can read about it here. I will give you my take on the system on Wednesday, but in a nutshell: more points on offer, all races at all levels are included, jersey points are now included, and most race finishers will earn points. Most of the resources you need to draft are located in the "Wiskota Links" side bar including links to the final rankings from previous years. I include last years with a break down of where points were earned here.
Lastly, it's nice to get as many "Wiskota Events" on the calendar early, so please bring any and all ideas on Wednesday. Let's have fun. See ya Wednesday. Wiskota!
